Big Shoulders-Chicago 9/12/09

Friday, August 14th, 2009

September 12, 2009 is the 19th annual 2.5/5k Chicago masters’ Big shoulders swim. This year the 5k race is the USMS open water championship.

Josh & Nick will be swimming this year. Josh has been training for months and just recently won an ocean mile race in Hawaii. Plus, he did an ocean mile race in the Cayman Islands where he beat 2 Olympians. Josh will be doing the long race of 5k.  Nick has only trained for about a month due to a hole in his chest. He has been unable to participate in the water for a while because of the possibility of infection in his new port.  Nick will be swimming the 2.5k portion.

Bahar will be cheering everyone on during the swim.  Just look out for her in the teamschmult.com gear.

We will be swimming and cheering at Ohio Street Beach in Chicago.
