Post Bud’s Run Post

On a beautiful Saturday Bahar & Nick drove to Carol Stream, IL to participate in the Bud’s Run event.

Bahar ran the 5k a race with 500 other runners and walkers. Bahar placed top 10 in her age group and is determined to go back next year and get top 3. Nick stayed behind and talked with the CEO of Sarcoma of America, Matt Alsante.

He was there to show support for research on the cure for sarcoma cancer. All of the money donated from the event was given to the Sarcoma of America.

Matt was a great person and I had a lot of laughs with him.  He was very polite and he introduced me to Sharon Swanson. Sharon is Bud’s wife and for the last 6 years she has organized the run every year. Each year it increases awareness and increases in volume of participates. Matt gave Sharon an award to recognize her accomplishments with the run event.

Also, Matt Alsante, the CEO of curesarcoma.org/ Sarcoma Foundation of America, presented the Director of  Bud’s Run. Sharon Swanson is the wife of Bud Swanson, whom the event is based around. See the video.
